AmeriCorps VISTA members recently completed the ‘22-’23 service year, which culminated in a showcase project that displayed their accomplishments for the year. VISTA members completed year-long service terms at colleges and universities and with community partners across the country, with the goal of fulfilling the public purposes of higher education. Each unique project focused on one of the five focus areas of AmeriCorps: Education, Economic Opportunity, Environmental Stewardship, Healthy Futures, Veterans and Families.
Each AmeriCorps VISTA member completed a showcase that documented the impact of their service, and featured highlights of their service year. AmeriCorps VISTA members also completed a video to show their service in action. The showcases highlighted the range of projects that corps members took part in, ranging from improving financial literacy at the University of Rhode Island to empowering first-generation, low-income students at Northwestern University. Members created colorful infographics featuring the complexities of their work and creative videos depicting the unique aspects of their projects.
