On March 13th, the Campus Compact VISTA team held an Alumni Panel for our VISTA Cohort, which consisted of 8 Campus Compact VISTA Alumni from all over. During the panel, alumni were asked a multitude of questions, including how they felt their VISTA service impacted them and their careers, as well as tips for resources to use when job searching. After the panel of questions, alumni participated in breakout sessions, where VISTA members could attend to chat with them and ask them any questions they had. Overall, this panel was extremely informative and helpful for our VISTA Members planning their next career steps.

Kenny Andejeski
Kenny is curiously committed to better understanding everything that unites, divides, and compels us to participate in this social experiment called life. He sees the world through an entrepreneurial lens that is focused on connecting people with ideas, resources, places, and one another to foster the community required to effectively address the inequities, challenges, and opportunities of our time. Kenny currently runs Why [here] matters, a social enterprise that supports clients in building community to foster social cohesion, belonging, and civic health towards the practice of everyday democracy at a national, regional, and local scale.
Born and raised in the Midwest, Kenny has visited all 50 states and 35+ countries across six continents but currently resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where most of his place-based work is focused on community & ecosystem building throughout the South and Appalachia. In his free time, he plays ultimate frisbee, deepens his relationship with nature, and dances through museum exhibits and public art installations. He is a '12-'13 Massachusetts Campus Compact VISTA alumni, who served at UMass Boston.
Valeria Mamish
Valerie Mamish is currently a Community Director for Housing and Residential Education at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. She served for Campus Compact from July2021 to July 2022 at the College for Social Innovation as the Recruitment VISTA. Her main focus was recruiting pell-eligible students at the organization’s campus partner colleges. She supported the student ambassador program as well as conducted research on the benefits of high-impact learning opportunities and the challenges of access to such programs as they relate to marginalized college students. After completing her service year, she attended Merrimack College's Master of Higher Education program where she graduated this past year in May.
Tim Krumreig
Over the past 10 years, Tim has worked in collaboration with nonprofits, college administrators, and students to help institutions of higher education realize their capacity to support their local community’s vision for positive social change. Tim began his career by serving 3 terms as an AmeriCorps VISTA member and leader at Massachusetts Campus Compact to help build the capacity for education outreach and low-income student support programming.
For two years Tim served as a Program Manager with Campus Compact to support the AmeriCorps VISTA program and coalition operations across Southern New England. He then transitioned back to an institution where he worked as the Assistant Director of Community Service Programs at Northeastern University managing a robust suite of programs including local volunteer initiatives and an Alternative Spring Break service program. In his current role, Tim Serves as a Portfolio Manager with the Mid-Atlantic Region for AmeriCorps supporting grant recipients in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Tim graduated with his Master of Education in Higher Education from Northeastern University in 2020 and received his bachelor’s from Oberlin College where he studied Geology and discovered his passion for community engagement through the Bonner Scholars program. Outside of work, Tim enjoys exploring new coffee shops, planning his next trip, and trying to find the next show he’s going to watch.
Ty Kiatathikom
Ty Kiatathikom (he/him) is a 2L at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He holds a B.A. in International Relations from Knox College. He formerly served as the Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA in the Jane Addams Center for Civic Engagement at Rockford University. Ty, who is in law school to become a public defender, previously interned with the Ohio Public Defender and externed in the chambers of Justice Melody J. Stewart of the Ohio Supreme Court. He has recently accepted an offer of employment with the Alaska Public Defender Agency for the forthcoming summer.
Nathan Wiesehan
Nathan Wiesehan (he/him) served as an AmeriCorps member at Loyola University Chicago, working with the Community Schools Initiative, which sought to foster the relationship between Loyola and local public schools in Chicago. He subsequently served as a VISTA Leader with Campus Compact, where he focused on training and member development. After completing AmeriCorps service, he began working with Trilogy, a behavioral health care provider in Chicago, serving people with severe mental illness. He is currently the Human Resources Services Manager, overseeing a variety of business processes to foster a positive employee experience, ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards, and execute special projects to grow the capacity of Trilogy to serve its employees. He has a BA from Bradley University in Organizational Communication and French.
Victoria Cirillo
Victoria Cirillo was a part of the 2020-21 cohort of Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTAs, during which time she served in the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Since then, she has been working towards her masters of Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration at Canisius University in Buffalo, NY. In July 2023, she started as the Assistant Director for Community Engaged Learning at SUNY Buffalo State University, continuing similar community-based work she started during her VISTA year. She credits much of her success in her current role to the skills she developed in her VISTA experience.
Breanna Mihalovich
Breanna serves as the Program Coordinator of the Campus Climate Action Corps at Campus Compact. In this role, Breanna is responsible for building and supporting a team of AmeriCorps members, including member recruitment, host site support, monitoring, and reporting, tracking member records, and providing general member and programmatic support and compliance.
Before joining Campus Compact in 2021, she was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ethiopia, where she taught English as a foreign language and earned her TEFL certificate. Breanna then completed a year of VISTA service in Michigan, where she helped develop an English Language Arts curriculum for an after-school program. Breanna also worked as an Admissions Administrative Assistant at Rochester University in Rochester Hills, MI. Breanna received her Bachelor's degree from Rochester University and recently completed her Master of Public Policy from Adler University. Her work in grad school focused on environmental justice and climate change policy in relation to human rights.
Amanda Moser-Shick
Amanda Moser-Shick recently joined the Career & Civic Engagement Center at Bryn Mawr College as the Associate Director of Volunteer Programs. In this role, she is responsible for the co-curricular volunteer service, activism, and advocacy programs in Civic Engagement. She enjoys exploring the intersection of civic and community engagement and student leadership development. Amanda has extensive experience in program development and management at two previous higher education institutions, Simmons University and Delaware Valley University. In addition, she was also an AmeriCorps*VISTA member in both Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Amanda earned a B.A. in International Studies (Diplomacy) and French from Susquehanna University and has a Masters of Education in Community Engagement from Merrimack College. She lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her partner and enjoys visiting local parks, downtown areas, and independent craft breweries.
