VISTA projects are hosted at Campus Compact member institutions and their community partners across the country. AmeriCorps members serve to build capacity for anti-poverty and civic engagement work.

Each year, member campuses and their partners are invited to apply to host an AmeriCorps member by submitting ideas for projects that serve low-income college students, low-income K-12 students, or low-income community members either on campus or in the surrounding community.

How to become a host site

During the host site application cycle, campuses and their partners can apply to host AmeriCorps members for poverty alleviation projects through the VISTA program. Potential host sites provide information about the project and how an AmeriCorps member could add capacity.

While we are no longer accepting applications for member campuses and their partners to host a VISTA for the 2024-25 program year, we encourage you to check back here in the fall of 2024 for information about our 25-26 application process.
