The HUD + Higher Ed Engagement Network aims to build strong relationships between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and higher education to create inclusive, sustainable, and thriving communities. Through the network, colleges and universities will receive tools, resources, and technical assistance to directly engage with and advance HUD initiatives on the ground.
How to get involved
Join the HUD + Higher Ed Engagement Network by subscribing to our email list to begin receiving regular briefings. Briefings will offer ideas and resources for campuses to implement and grow programming in partnership with HUD Field Offices. Briefings are curated by the HUD + Higher Ed Engagement Think Tank, a group of strategic leaders with broad experience across higher education and public policy. Members of the HUD + Higher Ed Engagement Network will also be invited to leverage training, technical assistance, and resources from experts at HUD, Campus Compact, the Anchor Institutions Task Force (AITF), the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU), the University Economic Development Association (UEDA) & other partners.
Who can participate?
Participation in the HUD + Higher Ed Engagement Network is free and open to all. To start receiving briefings, be sure to subscribe to the mailing list. Faculty, staff, and administrators, involved in community engagement, civic engagement, anchor partnerships, economic development, workforce development, and other externally facing roles are particularly encouraged to join!
