Full certification as a community engagement professional formally recognizes an individual that has demonstrated competency across a range of areas related to higher education civic and community engagement.

Apply for certification

Once you have completed all three essential credentials and two elective credentials, you become eligible to apply for certification. First, make sure all your credentials are up-to-date—they should have been earned or recertified within the past five years. Next, you'll be asked to submit a short personal statement to submit for consideration.
