Mesha Allen is AmeriCorps VISTA Leader with Campus Compact. She is based in Union, New Jersey.

Mesha is from Irvington/Newark, NJ and currently resides in Union, NJ. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Arts from Ramapo College in 2017, where she took courses in Music Industry & Performance and Sociology and participated in activities focused on Human Rights/Social Justice. She is currently pursuing a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies at Prescott College, focusing on healing justice and community well-being.
Mesha served 4 terms in AmeriCorps State and National Public Allies/Change For Kids as a Volunteer Coordinator, Ryan Health as a Community Relations Liaison, and the Mental Health Association of New Jersey as a Peer Support Worker and Crisis Counselor. She has also worked as a Support Coordinator for people with visible and invisible disabilities and a Peer Wellness Coach for neurodivergent people and people living with chronic pain and illness.
Her AmeriCorps experience has been transformative for her - it has allowed her to grow personally and help provide vital support for Members and communities who share similar life experiences with her.
Mesha is obsessed with Animal Crossing, cuddling with her cat Sofia, and *still* going record shopping in 2024.
