  • Natural Breeden is a Newman Civic Fellow and Master of Social Work student at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Breeden works as the manager of UNC Pembroke’s on-campus food pantry and assisted with establishing an emergency housing program for students on the UNCP Campus.
  • Lindsey Earl is a Newman Civic Fellow and graduate student in anthropology and applied community economic development at Illinois State University. Earl’s graduate research focuses on community responses to homelessness. Prior to graduate school, Earl served two years with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps.
  • Caity Vogt (guest interviewer) is Campus Compact’s Housing Partnerships Coordinator and AmeriCorps VISTA. Vogt’s work focuses on housing insecurity on college campuses. She will spend her service year researching housing insecurity policies across the country and exploring how these policies affect students, faculty and staff.
