Maureen F. Curley, president of Campus Compact, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by Hobart and William Smith Colleges for her dedication to advancing campus-based service, service learning, and civic engagement.
"In addition to her significant contributions in the civic engagement field, Maureen serves as a powerful example to our graduating seniors of the opportunities made possible through an HWS degree and the many pathways to a life of consequence," explained President Mark D. Gearan. “It is truly an honor to receive this degree. Hobart William Smith Colleges is a leader in its commitment to community engagement and to the importance of integrating community based learning into students academic achievements,” stated Maureen Curley.
