VISTA projects are hosted at Campus Compact member institutions and their community partners across the country. AmeriCorps members serve to build capacity for anti-poverty interventions in the areas of education, healthy futures, economic opportunity, environmental stewardship, and veterans and military families.

Each year, member campuses and their partners are invited to apply to host an AmeriCorps member by submitting ideas for projects that serve low-income college students, low-income K-12 students, or low-income community members either on campus or in the surrounding community.

How to become a host site

The 2025-26 Campus Compact VISTA Request for Proposals and Part I Application are now live! New host sites interested in hosting an AmeriCorps VISTA through our program will participate in our two-part application process. The Part I Application has a priority submission deadline of Monday, December 9th and will close on January 22nd, 2025. Successful applicants will then be invited to complete part II of the application.
