Program Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will include the following:

  • Coordinates member and site recruitment for the AmeriCorps VISTA program; also serves as the primary contact for 20+ VISTA sites around the state of FL; responsible for the development of VISTA programs for host sites (new and potential). Also serves as the primary liaison to the federal AmeriCorps program and to all site supervisors across Florida. In addition, provides continuous professional development trainings for supervisors and advises students who express an interest in and/or applies to AmeriCorps programs.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, editing, and managing the marketing and branding for A|FVN. This includes but is not limited to creating and/or updating the website, Instagram, LinkedIn profile, etc. Responsible for ordering and inventorying all marketing and program materials which can include promotional items, tabling materials, etc.
  • Responsible for reporting both qualitative and quantitative (performance measures, grant compliance, Project Progress Reports, VISTA Progress Supplemental Report, etc.) to FSU, AmeriCorps and other stakeholders around the state and region.
  • Coaches and supports AmeriCorps VISTA members at host sites around the state; this includes providing continuous professional development trainings, an In-Service Training, and supporting on site needs with attention to sites that need additional support to maintain continuous member service placement. Supervises full-time AmeriCorps VISTA Leader(s), FWS students and interns.
  • Coordinates the Request for Proposal process to recruit and select campuses and community non-profits as host sites for A|FVN. Responsible for project host site monitoring to ensure compliance with AmeriCorps and FSU policies and procedures, this includes in person site visits and technical assistance webinars.


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications include:


Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in social science, public administration, education, or related/applicable field.
  • Two years of relevant work or volunteer experience.
  • Previous experience working with college/university staff, students, and community partners.
  • Previous work experience with an AmeriCorps VISTA or AmeriCorps program and/or a community non-profit agency or similar experience.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • This is an A&P position.
  • This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
  • This position goes on 3-5 work-related trips per year.
  • This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.
