Personal Statement
I have always loved helping people, and that focus has carried on with me as I grew up. I struggled for years with addiction but finally was able to turn my life around. Being a single parent has helped enforce my love for helping. Over the years, I realized that I loved giving in any way possible. Seeing the reaction of happiness on someone’s face for helping them, no matter how small, is my greatest reward. Some of my proudest achievements include: • Being a member of the MOMs group with LRADAC • Becoming a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success in 2020 • Filming my story for LRADAC in efforts to help others • Helping donate toiletries to the homeless shelter in downtown Columbia 2022 • Being interviewed by WIS News 10, speaking on the new implementation of Narcan dispensaries to combat overdosing My personal mission statement is to educate and advocate for those who have not yet found their voices or have yet to realize how to use them and always to fight the injustice that society places upon them. Everyone deserves a chance to live a healthy life and to be treated with dignity.
