Personal Statement

As a dedicated advocate for equity, my focus has been on addressing inequalities within the Latino community in Dallas through collaborative approaches. I’ve worked to dismantle some barriers through community empowerment and policy advocacy prioritizing their needs. In my role within the Mayor and City Council office, I engaged directly with neighborhood leaders and local businesses, amplifying the voices of the predominantly Hispanic district I served. Through tailored outreach events and communication, I ensured their concerns were heard and addressed in the city's legislative and budget process. Moreover, I supported the founding of C3 Latino Young Professionals, a grassroots organization aimed at cultivating a dynamic community of Latino young professional allies in North Texas. Through this platform, I've been able to leverage my skills to build relationships with key leaders across multiple sectors to drive initiatives focused on uplifting the Latino community and advocating for equity and inclusion. As the federal senior government affairs coordinator for Dallas, I work with stakeholders to advance the city’s legislative priorities. By leveraging my expertise in government affairs and my deep understanding of local needs, I will ensure that the voices of the Latino community are heard.
