College Renaissance Corps (CRCorps) is a new national leadership program from Campus Compact. The program empowers community college students to become industry and community leaders while working to boost enrollment rates at community colleges for high-demand industry programs.
Through CRCorps, students will connect with industry leaders, build transferrable career skills, and serve as examples of how to thrive in the workforce with a community college education.
What we do
Our vision is to empower community college students in high-demand fields to break barriers and become leaders in the workplace and their communities. CRCorps will:
- Recruit community college students enrolled in high-demand industry programs to serve as Industry Ambassadors for the academic year
- Industry Ambassadors leverage social media to recruit classmates, adult learners, youth, and high school students to enroll in similar fields at their community college
- Industry ambassadors gain opportunities to learn directly from industry experts, participate in professional development workshops, and engage in tailored networking experiences
Making an impact
Students
CRCorps empowers students to become industry and community leaders while working to boost enrollment rates at community colleges for high-demand industry programs.
Industry
Having a well-trained workforce in the industries that will define the emerging American economy is vital to communities across the country that have suffered job loss and lower wages.
Community
Building a more inclusive economy for everyone calls for community-level solutions. That's why CRCorps is focused on closing current and growing skills gaps community-by-community, all across the country.
