Meena's journey hasn't been easy. During her time in the Crossroads Transition Service program, she faced discouragement from teachers who doubted her ability to pursue higher education. Despite these setbacks and the embarrassment it brought, Meena refused to give up. Instead, she sought out opportunities that would pave the way for her future success.
Her perseverance led her to Project Search, where she completed internships that opened doors to a fulfilling career at Centura Health. Meena dedicated six years to Centura Health, where she honed her skills and gained valuable experience.
A couple of months ago, Meena achieved another significant milestone by transitioning to Kelly's Education. In her new role, she assists students with special needs across different school districts, making a meaningful impact on their lives.
As a CRCorps Industry Ambassador, Meena has been sharpening her skills as a content creator amplifying her voice while she connects high school students and peers to education and career pathways at Arapahoe Community College. Read her first blog here.
Last week, Meena has completed her Computer and Networking Technology Certification and is pursuing a Computer Technician Certification from Arapahoe Community College in Colorado. Graduating has marked her personal victory for Meena, showcasing the resilience and determination that has driven her journey. She has proven the doubters wrong and continues to defy expectations, always striving toward her dreams.
