Campus Compact, in partnership with the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the Lang Center for Civic & Social Responsibility at Swarthmore College, are now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 cohort of the Engaged Scholars Initiative (ESI). The 2023-2024 cohort will consist of up to 20 early-career faculty and staff from Campus Compact member institutions. The cost to participate is $1,000 per person. Limited scholarships are available.
What is ESI?
The Engaged Scholars Initiative is a one-year leadership and professional development program for early-career faculty and staff. Participants will meet virtually and in-person to strengthen their own critical community-engaged scholarship and lead change within their institutions and communities.
Early Career is defined as pre-tenure for those on the faculty track; faculty in contract systems should not be beyond their sixth (6) year; and less than eight (8) years in the field of higher education community engagement for staff and administrators.
