Community Engagement Credentialing Program Redesign Underway with New Fellows Team

Campus Compact is updating its Community Engagement Professional Credentialing Program with the help of a newly assembled team of fellows, aiming to make the program more accessible and focused on professional growth.

Community Engagement Professional Credentialing Program

Over the next 10 months, Campus Compact is set to update the Community Engagement Professional Credentialing Program, focusing on making it more accessible and enriching for learning and growth. While this transformation is underway, the current Credentialing Program will be paused, with plans to reopen the credentialing program in Spring 2025.

The updated Credentialing Program will shift towards a professional development approach, emphasizing learning and growth rather than just demonstrating existing expertise. Each credential focus area will include modules designed to help practitioners develop their skills as they work toward their credentials. The program will also broaden its accessibility to support a wider audience, including newcomers to the field, graduate students, and practitioners looking to advance their skills.

Campus Compact has brought together a team of five fellows to help redesign the Credentialing Program. These fellows will blend research from the Community Engagement Professional Competency Research Team with their own knowledge, experience, and expertise to create modules for five key competency areas: Community Engagement Fundamentals, Community Partnerships, Equity & Inclusion, Engaged Learning & Teaching, and Engaged Research.

Fellows were chosen not only for their deep expertise in their credential content areas but also for their diverse perspectives from their varied backgrounds, including institutional, role, demographic, and professional or disciplinary experiences.
