Through College Renaissance Corps (CRCorps), students have the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, build transferable career skills, and serve as examples of how to thrive in the workforce with a community college education. Our program is laser-focused on working with next-generation workforce sectors critical to local and national economies, including logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and tech.

About the Position

Applicants must be currently enrolled at Houston Community College. Under the direct supervision of the CRCorps Program Coordinator, Houston, the CRCorps Industry Ambassador/Member is responsible for the following outcomes:

  1. Enhance campus-community partnerships by fostering and strengthening collaborations between the college campus and workforce industry partners.
  2. Increase enrollment and retention in critical academic programs by supporting efforts to recruit and retain individuals in academic programs that are vital to critical industries,
  3. Improve career readiness for peers by providing career exploration resources, workshops, and mentoring.
  4. Contribute to local impact and community solutions by addressing economic and college access challenges and preparing individuals to enter academic programs and careers in critical industries.
  5. Increase awareness and engagement by highlighting careers in critical industries.
  6. Increase brand visibility and engagement through strategic social and digital media outreach by implementing effective social and digital media outreach strategies.

Key Benefits for Members:

  1. A living allowance of $24,000
  2. An education award of $4,826.50 that you can use for up to seven years toward your education or transfer to a family member.
