Where Are They Now? Campus Compact EnviroCorps Alumni After AmeriCorps
As another cohort of dedicated AmeriCorps members wrap up their service in May with Campus Compact EnviroCorps (CCEC), we’re proud to share what our alumni are up to next! Members from University of Saint Joseph, Colby-Sawyer College, Tulane University, Miami University-Oxford, and a CCEC Corps Leader are taking their environmental passions into exciting new chapters.
Here’s a look at what recent alumni have accomplished or have in store:
Congrats, Grads!
- Annika Paulson graduated with her BA in Environmental Studies & Studio Art from Tulane University!
- Lucy Thompson earned her degree in Environmental Science from Colby-Sawyer College and is taking a well-deserved break as she weighs her options between graduate school or entering the workforce.
Moving into Professional Roles
- Tatianah Zeigler is jumping straight into a new role as a Water Quality Assistant with New York State Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation (a perfect fit for the work she’s been doing!
- Jesse Magnifico landed a new role as a Marketing & Development Coordinator with Child and Family Services. While it’s sad to see her go, it’s exciting to see her communications career blossom!
Starting or Continuing Internships
- Samantha Besel is continuing her internship with the Urban Forestry Division at the City of Hamilton while continuing to earn not one but two degrees: a bachelor’s in December 2026 and a master's in May 2027. Power to her!
- Lina Miesse also secured an internship with the Urban Forestry Division at the City of Hamilton and will be earning her GIS certification, a skill that will open a lot of doors in the environmental field.
- Kiara Peña already landed an environmental internship and is continuing her studies for another academic year with Tulane University!
- Miriam McNabb kicked off an internship with the Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) and will be returning to school in the fall as a proud senior.
- Annika is interning with Clean Harbors in Norwell, MA, gaining hands-on experience in the environmental services industry!
- Olivia Thaxton is awaiting news on a summer internship opportunity (fingers crossed!).
Continuing Studies
- Elise Russell, Linnea Holcomb, and Waverly Wood are continuing their undergraduate studies at Tulane University, bringing their service experience back to the classroom.
- Clark Brnilovich is heading to graduate school at Miami University-Oxford. Onward and upward!
- Tyler Wipff is in the final stretch of graduate school, set to finish by the 2026-27 academic year.
- Lily Rueckhaus returns to Miami University-Oxford for her senior year with meaningful service under her belt.
We are incredibly proud of every single one of these members and the hard work they’ve committed to during their service. The campuses, community organizations, and local communities they’ve engaged and supported are a better place because of them. Congratulations to the entire cohort, and best of luck in your next adventures! Your journeys are only beginning!
