A pivotal gathering of university leaders, policymakers, and collaborators exploring the critical role of higher education and civic engagement in addressing national challenges.
Campus Compact Summit

Campus Compact hosted the Inaugural Community Engagement Policy & Impact Summit held on November 14 and 15 in Washington, D.C., bringing together Presidents from Campus Compact member institutions across the country. Thanks to our partners at Washington Navigators, Bill Bates and Scott Sudduth, the summit had a packed agenda, featuring meetings with collaborators including Kei Koizumi, Principal Deputy Director at the White House Office of Science and Technology, Michele Perez, Deputy Secretary at the Office of Field Policy and Management at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Bryan Borlik, Director of Performance and National Programs at the Economic Development Administration, and Kenya Nicholas, Deputy Director at the USDA Office of Partnerships and Public Engagement.

The summit concluded with a meeting with Senator Elizabeth Warren, Campus Compact President Bobbie Laur, Board Chair and President of Massachusetts College of Art and Design Mary Grant, and Campus Compact Chief Strategy and Operations Officer Matt Farley.

As we look ahead, we're excited and energized about connecting with the Administration and congressional leaders, highlighting the critical role that higher education community and civic engagement can play in addressing our country's biggest challenges.

Special thanks to Matt Farley, Mary K. Grant, William Coppola, Mike Gavin, Stephanie Fujii, Havidán Rodríguez, Radha Pyati, Jose Padilla, Grant Cornwell, Macario Hernandez, & John Wells for joining us for this inaugural event.
