Although she is only a second year student at Green Mountain College, Yasmeen Najeebi has already made a number of important impacts on the campus community. She has proven to be a determined and skillful leader on campus, driven by her passion to educate and empower others. At a college that is nationally recognized for its commitment to sustainability, Yasmeen stands out among a dedicated student body as a leader on a wide range of community and environmental issues.

In my role as an advocate for environmental and social justice, I have had the honor and pleasure working on behalf of Environment Massachusetts, Sierra Club's Global Population Campaign, and Greenpeace Actions Team.
