Personal Statement

Embarking on my professional journey, I began my career as a biomedical scientist in clinics. I soon discovered that my passion lay in aiding those in need, both physically and mentally. This realization inspired me to pursue a second bachelor’s degree, this time in psychology, at Hellenic American University. Throughout my studies, I remained deeply engaged in helping individuals who are facing various challenges. Volunteering at Iasis, an NGO dedicated to supporting individuals confronted with economic hardship and mental health issues, provided me with invaluable hands-on experience. Within Iasis, my role encompasses a multitude of responsibilities, from coordinating initiatives to leading group discussions aimed at fostering stronger interpersonal connections and facilitating reintegration into society. Additionally, I extend my assistance directly to individuals who, for various reasons, are confined to their homes. My objective during these visits is to uplift spirits, provide companionship, and promote positive psychology. In serving those in need, I've discovered a profound purpose. Witnessing the joy on their faces and knowing that I've helped them find a more meaningful existence fuels my dedication to this cause.
