Personal Statement

Believing in the transformative strength of community, I approach social impact through grassroots endeavors to foster positive change. Raised in New Jersey, my involvement in local congressional campaigns and founding a student-led non-profit, Civic Wave, has equipped me to tackle structural challenges and champion student-led solutions. In my roles as Parliamentarian and Treasurer of the Scots Student Senate, I have led campus-wide reforms, such as enabling public elections through a constitutional amendment, and facilitated discussions with faculty and administration to address various student needs. These positions have honed my ability to navigate higher education structures to enact meaningful changes, fostering greater political engagement within Monmouth College's campus community. The fellowship provides a unique opportunity to delve into creative approaches for community building and advocacy, aligning with my goal of making a positive difference in marginalized communities globally. In the future, I plan to volunteer with the Peace Corps and undertake a JD/PhD program to delve into international law and confront global challenges. This academic journey will equip me with the expertise needed to contribute meaningfully to international law and pursue a career in public service.
