stephanie lesperance headshotCampus Compact today announced that Stephanie Lesperance, Chief Strategy Officer at Campus Compact for New Hampshire, will serve as Campus Compact’s national Rural Engagement Network Fellow.

As the Rural Engagement Network Fellow, Stephanie will bring the expertise she has gained from working with rural Campus Compact members in New Hampshire to the greater Campus Compact membership. Stephanie will work with Compact staff, members, fellows, and National Service team to build out a robust agenda of programming and resources specifically for our rural serving institutions. Our member-driven and lead Rural Engagement Network will address the unique needs of our rural members by bringing them together through virtual and in-person opportunities.

“Rural serving institutions play a crucial role in educating students and are vital to the communities in which they reside,” said Stephanie. "The Rural Engagement Network seeks to harness the collective power and expertise of rural institutions by bringing them together to explore their shared experiences, identify opportunities for collaboration, and create a shared space for engagement. As a practitioner committed to the promotion of the unique identity of rural serving institutions, I’m thrilled to be leading this initiative and am excited to highlight the important work of rural serving institutions.”

“Stephanie has long been a leader in rural campus engagement in New Hampshire,” said Natalie Furlett, Campus Compact director of partnerships and member engagement. “Her passion for this work will help Campus Compact build an innovative national network of rural community engagement professionals.”

Stephanie is one of the inaugural cohort of Campus Compact fellows, a group of experienced practitioners and field leaders who will advance Campus Compact’s work in key areas.

“We are so excited to welcome these experienced and passionate leaders into the Compact team,” said Campus Compact President Bobbie Laur. “Their appointments reflect our commitment to elevating and centering member expertise across everything we do. These fellows will play critical roles as Compact moves forward a robust agenda of programming, research, strategic partnerships, and learning communities.“
