Campus Compact is now seeking nominations and applications for our next Impact Award recipients!

The Campus Compact Impact Awards celebrate the shining examples of meaningful, impactful civic and community engagement work. Individuals may nominate others for the awards with our new nomination form or submit applications on their own behalf. Nominations close on October 14 with final applications due on October 31.

This year, we've made some tweaks to existing awards and added three additional awards to recognize excellence in programming, community partnerships, and student leadership. Read on for more information!

Awards

Student Leadership Awards (new!)

Recognizing undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate inspiring leadership qualities through civic and community engagement.

Excellence in Civic & Community Engagement Programming Award (new!)

Recognizing the many forms that effective on-campus civic and community engagement can take to address areas of need and make deep and long-lasting positive change.

Excellence in Community-Engaged Partnerships Award (new!)

Recognizing outstanding higher education programs and initiatives that make a meaningful impact by partnering with communities to address complex social issues.

Richard Guarasci & Eduardo J. Padrón Awards for Presidential Leadership

Updated for 2025! Recognizing presidents and chancellors from 4-year institutions and community colleges, respectively, who demonstrate a deep and sustained commitment to civic and community engagement.

Nadinne Cruz Community Engagement Professional Award

Recognizing community engagement professionals for their transformative collaboration with communities, commitment to justice-oriented work, and impact on the larger community engagement movement.

Thomas Ehrlich Civically Engaged Faculty Award

Recognizing senior faculty for commitment to connecting their teaching, research, and service to community engagement. Presented in partnership with the Swearer Center for Public Service at Brown University.

Ernest A. Lynton Award for the Scholarship of Engagement

Recognizing full-time, pre-tenure faculty who connect their teaching, research, and service to community engagement. Presented in partnership with the Swearer Center for Public Service at Brown University.

How to apply

Nominate a candidate (new for 2024!)

Do you know of an individual or program that deserves recognition for their civic and community engagement efforts? We encourage you to nominate a candidate for this award. Our new nomination form will allow you to submit a student for consideration and offer a testimonial describing why they are deserving of the award. Nominees will be notified of their selection and encouraged to complete the full application to be considered for the award.

We strongly encourage individuals to apply for awards directly! Whether or not you are nominated, candidates who wish to be considered for awards must complete the full application to be eligible for consideration. Find links for each award application above! Applications are due October 31, 2024
