Personal Statement

My passion for child advocacy is rooted in my lived experiences and a deep commitment to uplifting the next generation. I’ve served as a peer mentor for both youth and incoming college freshmen, coached youth sports, and volunteered at my hometown elementary school to help bridge educational and social gaps. These roles have shown me how critical early support and representation are in shaping a child’s self-worth and opportunities. As I’ve participated in protests and advocacy efforts centered on creating a more equitable future for children. I’ve also deepened my understanding of systemic issues through undergraduate research, focusing on the root causes of inequality in marginalized communities. Overall, my work is fueled by the belief that every child deserves to feel loved and valued.
