Community Engaged Scholarship Tenure and Promotion Repository

This repository contains resources that demonstrate how community engaged scholarship (CES) can be recognized and incentivized through faculty reward mechanisms, including tenure and promotion policies and practices.

In this repository,  you will find information about: (a) various ways to make the case and create incentives for faculty to participate in CES, (b) strategies to evaluate and assess CES, and (c) examples of how policies have been designed at a range of institutional types to incorporate CES in to tenure and promotion guidelines at institutional, school/college, and departmental levels.

The repository is designed to be a useful resource for both faculty seeking to document their CES for purposes of promotion and advancement, and higher education administrators looking to deepen their knowledge about how CES can be incentivized and rewarded through tenure and promotion policies.

If you have materials you would like to add, or think should be added to the repository, please contact Clayton Hurd (churd {at} compact(.)org).
