• Revise calendar for the Freshmen Day of Service (FDoS) on semesters to weave FDoS into the entire year.
  • Increase advising on pathways to public service. Intentionally connect major exploration within the GS course to majors that have public service as a focus.  Include a related pre/post question on the freshmen student survey.

This request will come from the Provost’s Office. The CCE will collect this data and request relevant reports from additional community-university initiatives such as HPN and Pioneers for Sustainable Communities.
  • Create a university-wide matrix that details partnerships, programs, courses, and related student activities for assessment efforts.
  • Showcase civic engagement of students, departments, and programs. Build upon campus celebration of MLK at the yearly breakfast to include poster session that recognizes and highlights campus-community partnerships and civic learning connected to these partnerships to reinforce civic learning as a university value.
