Quarterly reports

February 25, 2015

One of the most common ways of measuring community impact is with ongoing reports, sent out to service-learning participants on a regular basis. At Walla Walla Community College in Washington state, the community service center gives every service group and service-learning faculty member a package of quarterly report sheets. Faculty and groups then give these sheets to the community organizations with whom they work. The reports contain a number of questions gauging how helpful Walla Walla s volunteers have been to the community. The community service office collects copies of the reports and compiles statistics, which are then sent to all students, faculty, and board members of the college at the end of the year.
