Carlos Eduardo Villarreal Hernández, Universidad de Monterrey
Carlos Eduardo Villarreal Hernández, student of the Surgeon and Obstetrician Degree, currently in his undergraduate internship at Universidad de Monterrey. He stood out due to his participation during more than four years in Jóvenes Altruistas Pensando En México, JALPEM (Altruistic youths thinking in México) student group, in which he was the president as well as his participation in the Youth Advisory Board in the United States Consulate in Monterrey. Thanks to his participation in the Global Leadership Program, international leadership program carried out in a joint manner by Universidad de Monterrey and the Leadership Exchange Institute, he developed his social project focused on the development of young people in low income communities. His project Futbol Líder is a development program for leadership competencies for youths using soccer as a didactic and motivational tool, he was able to be supported as social entrepreneur by the program Avancemos, an Ashoka México initiative. He was selected as Global Shaper within the community in the World Economic Forum, this due to his achievements, his leadership potential and his level of engagement.
