Levi Birky serves as president of the Associated Students of Montana State University, and has worked tirelessly on behalf of his fellow students to improve access, retention and graduation rates at our university. He co-authored our first Student Bill of Rights and was instrumental in advocating for a polling station on our campus. A first generation student, Levi understands the transformative power of education and has dedicated his life to improving access to public education.
I have always been passionate about making a difference in my community, especially with regard to access to higher education. My career goals are firm: I resolve to be an education policy mover in Montana by providing students with experimental and immersive educational experiences in high school, to better prepare students for their future careers and success in college. I will be an advocate for a paradigm shift in public education to integrate more student-centered, real-life application, and experimental learning opportunities.
