Halle is a junior studying Political Science with a minor in Communications and grew up on a ranch just outside of Terry, MT. Halle truly has a great passion for bringing people together and does this through her current campus involvement as a student at MSU Billings. On campus, Halle is the epitome of a student leader. Halle has served as an ASMSUB Senator for two years, an Orientation Peer Leader, and a member in the campus LEAD program. On top of all of Halle's involvement on campus, she also works as the Service Project Coordinator in the Office for Community Involvement where she gets to plan, organize, and execute community events and projects with other MSUB students, staff, and faculty. Halle is an amazing student who has taken the initiative to engage and connect to MSU Billings and the community, as well encourage other students to make a difference. She is a well-rounded student who works hard at every task she is given. We are proud to nominate Halle to serve as a Newman Civic Fellow on behalf of Montana State University Billings.
During my time at MSUB, I have been fortunate to take advantage of several impactful and moving experiences within my community. I have enjoyed my time serving as a student senator in the ASMSUB Student Government, participating in movements such as lobbying the Montana State Legislature on behalf of higher education.
I have been able to act as the Service Project Coordinator for MSUB's Office for Community Involvement, planning projects such as Service Saturdays and Campus food drives. Part of my work in the OCI has been to help maintain the Yellowjacket Emergency Pantry which is committed to eliminating food insecurity on campus. I have also had the privilege of working as an Orientation Peer Leader on campus, helping new students adjust to college life and find their own passions and inspirations. Overall, I am extremely grateful for the opportunities that have been afforded to me and I am excited to continue working to move us forward as a campus. For me, there is no greater obligation than endeavoring to better one's community, nor is there a task that yields a greater reward.
