About the Opportunity 

The Member Services and Outreach Coordinator supports our member engagement strategy through operational support and database administration, program planning and execution, as well as member support and outreach efforts.

Reporting to the Director of Member Engagement, the Coordinator has day-to-day responsibility for maintaining and troubleshooting the various systems that enable our work (e.g. Salesforce, Form Assembly, Swoogo, etc.),  ensuring the integrity of the member database (Salesforce), engaging with and triaging member questions, and supporting volunteer leadership, member programming, and communications. This position is a nexus point for our membership support, and the Coordinator will actively collaborate with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders. The Coordinator also provides administrative support to the Director of Member Engagement as needed.

Key responsibilities include:
Operational Support
  • In partnership with the Director, develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of internal processes, procedures, and workflows to ensure clarity, consistency, and efficiency across the membership team and organization.
  • Generate recommendations for improving systems and processes in support of member engagement efforts.
  • Train users on a variety of systems (i.e. Salesforce) and tools (i.e. report generation) utilizing a variety of tutorial channels, including self-guided training videos, one-to-one and team instruction, and playbooks.
Database Management
  • Maintain accuracy and utility of the membership database by ensuring member profiles are  updated with contact information, organizational changes, and specific engagement with Campus Compact. Research member and prospective member institutions for leadership changes, staff changes, and updates the database accordingly.
  • Create, generate and update membership data reports, lists and queries; support all Compact staff in generating reports that can inform their work and upload data to improve our understanding of our membership. 
Member Services
  • Support membership renewal, recruitment, and new member onboarding activities in full partnership with the Director.
  • Interact and engage with current and prospective members and institutions providing a high-quality experience and expertise regarding the resources, services, and opportunities available to them.
  • Support, schedule, and host virtual one-on-one sessions, open houses, and orientations for members and prospective members. 
  • Monitor and respond to member questions, concerns and requests via mail, email, phone, and website in partnership with Finance/Operations teams. 
Program & Event Support
  • Assist in designing, planning, and implementing programs and services such as workshops and network convenings (both in person and virtual). 
  • Support campus representatives in Compact leadership roles (e.g. Fellows, committees, or communities of practice) by hosting volunteer orientation, training, and recognition opportunities.
     
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years professional experience in sales, sales enablement, membership management, or database administration strongly preferred 
  • Strong attention to detail and a successful track record in setting priorities, task management, problem-solving, and sound decision-making
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including a flexible and positive attitude
  • Demonstrated experience with database technologies and an aptitude to learn new technologies
  • Deep personal and professional commitment to equity and inclusion
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Effective collaborator with strong team engagement skills
  • Relevant associates or bachelor’s degree or professional certification, license, and/or credentials. A degree in administration, business, or nonprofit management is preferred. 
  • Ability to travel regionally and nationally several times a year

Recent graduates will be considered if their education and experience show a strong background in working with teams and technical acumen.

Location

Campus Compact is headquartered in Boston, MA, with a national, geographically distributed staff. This position is fully remote, with the option of working a hybrid schedule in our Boston office. 

Compensation

Salary will be $59,000. Campus Compact provides a competitive benefits package, including national healthcare coverage, generous paid time off, and an employer retirement contribution of up to 8%.
